Established in 2013, this award-winning National Project supports Muslim Women transitioning back into the community after serving their custodial sentence. The project provides faith-sensitive and culturally appropriate support, helping Women overcome the challenges they face in rebuilding their lives.
The project team actively engages with the criminal justice system (CJS) to conduct research, amplify Women's voices, and influence policy change. We work closely with, HMP/YOI Newhall and Askham Grange, Probation Services and other Women's organisations providing through the gate support.
Our practical support includes Prison drop-in's prior to release, facilitating family and child mediation, securing safe accommodation, assisting with benefits, and providing access to education, training, and volunteering/employment opportunities.
